Miss Julia Yip graduated from the University of California, Davis Master of Science in Forensic Science program in 2018. For her master thesis, she researched the use of Amelogenin protein expressed in teeth to determine sex of archaeological remains. She graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology with a concentration in forensic anthropology and minored in forensic science. She is currently employed as a Forensic Scientist at the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory’s Biology/ DNA section.
