Life at UC Davis
The city of Davis is located approximately 65 miles north-east of the San Francisco bay area and only 17 miles west of Sacramento. Outside of the university, the surrounding area is mainly agricultural. Davis is often referred to as the "most bicycle friendly town in the world" due to its wide streets and numerous bike paths. While not considered a big city, Davis has plenty of options for food, entertainment, and recreation.
